We got this great email from 4th Hounslow about their recycling efforts. It just goes to show that no matter how small your Group, a wee bit of effort can make a big difference to your recycling totals!
Dear Scouts Appeal,
4th Hounslow Scout Group have been recycling laser, ink cartridges and mobile phones for the past 5 years, we have achieved just under £1600.00 and are on target for £2000.00 by 2007. We are a small Group consisting of just 50 members, but with the support of parents (asking their employers)and members bringing in their cartridges and mobiles the totals are around £330 per yearly.
Over the past couple of years we have used the money to pay for our Groups Annual Fireworks Display, and this years money has paid for new windows to be installed!
